The baby weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz., and was 20 inches long.

A diaper pounding has been set up and will run through Sunday, May 27.

5-17-2012

  • From S. Byers – I want all my Christian friends and family to take a minute out of their day to read and please pray for this awesome family. I know my God is good, and can do anything. My niece Emily is 5 yrs old and was born with a rare disease that part of her cerubellum is missing, what this means is she is still in baby mode and not able to walk, talk, etc. She has been through alot in the last 5 years, so many differant surgeries, such as stomach issues, sleep apnea, her eyes, and so much more. Her parents are the most amazing people I have ever met and are totally devoted to her. they also have a 3 yr old son who is in perfect health, and another baby girl on the way in August. The ultrasound on the new baby shows her kidneys are enlarged and that was the case with Emily. Please pray for this family. Thank you.

  • Bassore Family – Don Bassore passed away this morning.  He was a school teacher at Hurley School, and a few of our church members knew him or worked with him.
  • Jean & Bill Campbell [Update] – Jean is home from the hospital, and Bill was to go home today.  Keep them in prayer as they recuperate.  Contact Melissa Johnson if you wish to help with meals.
  • Mr. Busselman (middle school teacher) – Heart Attack
  • Bro. Sam Wilson – Preaching at FBC Joplin Saturday night for a youth event.

  • Brittaney McLaughlin [UPDATE]- Surgery went well . . . she is doing good.  Pray for her as she goes through recovery.
  • Jean Campbell [UPDATE] – Doing well after her surgery.  She may go home from hospital as early as Thursday.  Check with church office for hospital information.

  • Salyer Family - Eddie’s grandfather has passed away.
