Bible Drillers

Youth / High School Bible Drill

All youth grades 7-9 are encouraged to participate in Youth Bible Drill (YBD) beginning September and ending in early April. High School Bible Drill (HSBD) is for youth grades 10-12 and will begin and end the same time as YBD.

Youth Bible Drillers are asked to memorize all books of the Bible, 10 identifying verses, 10 doctrinal statements, and 10 Bible answer calls. This may seem challenging at first but will become easier as the Bible drill season progresses. Several helpers will be at each Bible Drill meeting to help with memorization of the necessary material.

Bible Drill is a great opportunity to have a fun time while studying the Word of God. Any participant will be excited to see how memorization of the Bible will greatly impact their life and their ability to share Jesus with their friends and family.

During each drill, drillers will earn points based upon their recall of the Bible Drill verses. A score of 300 points constitutes a perfect drill with no mistakes. In order to advance past the church drill, the driller must earn 180 points. To advance from the association drill to the state drill, he/she must earn 225 points.

We use the King James version for our program at FBC Sarcoxie.
