SAM WILSON
SENIOR PASTOR
Bro. Sam accepted the call to shepherd Sarcoxie FBC.  He and his wife LeeAnn, along with their twins, Hallee and Luke moved from Welch, Oklahoma in December 2006. He officially began his ministry January 4, 2007. Bro. Sam previously served in Welch Baptist Church as an Associate Pastor, with responsibilities of being a Youth Leader, VBS Director, and Discipleship Training Director.

Since coming to Sarcoxie, Bro. Sam’s family has grown to include two more sons, Ryan and Zack.

Some of Bro. Sam’s objectives…wherever he is on staff is to lead people to be ready and confident in sharing their faith. He is eager to see souls saved and Christians discipled in sharing the “good news” and “to model being a loving father and husband before the church family.” “The Lord’s ministry, through me, will be one of strengthening families and call to men to be the spiritual leaders in their homes as God has designed.” Some of Bro. Sam’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, snow skiing, water sports, with golf being his favorite.

CAROL PECK
MINISTRY ASSISTANT
Carol began her ministry at Sarcoxie FBC, April 1980. She has served under seven, and now eight, Pastors. She came to Missouri from California in 1965, with her husband Bob Peck and their two children Suzanne and Tyler. In California she worked as a statistical typist and secretary for a major electronics company. On arriving in Missouri she was a Homemaker, or “stay at home Mom” as they are called today. A third child was born, Wayne. As the children grew older circumstances and events required her to seek employment outside their home. Much prayer availed and God in his perfect timing and answer, brought an opportunity to broaden her ministry in her home as well as in her church. Sarcoxie FBC was looking for someone to serve part-time as a secretary; relieving the Pastor of doing bulletins and other secretarial work and allow him more time for his family, sermon preparation, and ministering to the needs of a growing church.

“My focus is on Jesus and concentrating at not losing sight of that, along with being the full supporter of the Pastor’s ministry so as God directs he knows that plans are being carried through, without him being concerned with matters that would keep him from ministering to his family and the church fellowship.” Carol keeps active in the body of believers, also by serving in PreTeen Bible Drill, Teaching Class 101, and the Weekday Ministry Board. Carol and Bob celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2009 and “we try not to be boastful of our five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.”
